Corsica hasn’t always been known for fine wines. Historically, the locals made their own wine, or made bulk quality juice for blending. Happily, this is no longer the case, with vignerons like the Arena family farming organically, fermenting with native yeasts and producing wines with the soul of the island. Biancu Ghjentile is a native variety that was almost extinct a few decades ago, but produces beautifully aromatic whites.
