Fascinating expression of dry-fermented Chenin Blanc. These vines lie in the Chaume and Quarts de Chaume parcels of Coteaux du Layon, but they are picked at maturity, without Botritis, then fermented with native yeasts and aged for a short time in used barrel before resting in stainless to focus the wines. Don’t let the generic Anjou appellation fool you, this is proper Chenin from a prized vineyard.
