As per French wine rules, as a first “probationary” step the bottles were labelled as Vin de Savoie Crémant. They may now use the full designation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe production zone is the same as that for the Savoie AOC. This includes 44 villages across the region. Vineyards are mostly situated on steep slopes along the valley sides.
