Named for Nadia's mother Teresa, who still works the vines full-time along with Nadia's father Ottavio (for whom the Grignolino bottling is now named!). Unlike the tank-aged version of Ruche, named simply "Teresa", this Ruche is aged for two years in Slavonian oak botti and thus tagged as "La Grande" version of "Teresa". Maria Teresa is also depicted on this label, in her signature sunglasses and sunhat in which she works in the vineyard.
Whereas the tank aged version of Nadia's Ruche shows a tough of weight and viscosity (Ruche is naturally medium acidity) the extended time in botte this one gives the sense of being lifted with a touch of pleasant volatility while being framed by some pretty classy tannins. Without a doubt a towering success from Cascina 'Tavijn!
