San Fereolo II Provinciale Nebbiolo Langhe Rosso 2018

While Dolcetto rules the estate, it only takes one sniff of this wine for you to immediately get the sense that Nicoletta would kick a whole lot of ass if she were a Barolo winemaker.  Half of the fruit comes from a friend’s prime holding in Serralunga d’Alba, while the balance is sourced from an estate parcel in Dogliani.  The long 30-day maceration in large vat allows for all of the character of the terroir to present itself, and the result is a wine of power and depth. You could buy Cappellano Barolo at 4-5 times the price, but the smart money (and us) are drinking this!
