Antichi Vinai Nerello Mascalese 2023

The 2023 Nerello Mascalese from Antichi Vinai is a vibrant, fruit-forward red from Etna’s volcanic soils, with bright red fruit, savory notes, and supple tannins — a good entry point to Etna’s volcanic style.
This 2023 vintage is a 100% Nerello Mascalese from vineyards on the east side of Mount Etna, planted on volcanic and sandy soils Antichi Vinai. The vines are 5–15 years old, grown organically, and harvested by hand in early October.  Winemaking is controlled-temperature maceration and fermentation, followed by a few months in stainless steel tanks Antichi Vinai. The style is bright, fresh, and balanced, with soft tannins and a supple, earthy finish.
