The Cru now known as “Garblet Sue” is alternately called “Fiasco” after the flasks of water the vineyard workers must bring with them to stave off the summer heat. At about 800ft of elevation with limestone soils, it’s a brilliant (if warm) place to ripen Nebbiolo.
