Grape Varieties: Grolleau Noir, Pineau d’Aunis, Gamay, Cabernet Franc
Little Robin was born when Côme had a vat of 2016 Cabernet Franc whose
fermentation got stuck. In 2017, he blended some of this Cabernet Franc into a vat of
fermenting Grolleau Noir, which led to the first edition of Little Robin! All of the
grapes in this particular vintage are from 2020. Côme (and many people!) were big
fans of the profile of Little Robin, so he continues to make a wine under this name. It
is medium bodied with notes of guava, paprika, and a slight hint of white pepper.
This wine is quite versatile and could be paired with a variety of main courses, such
as cooked ham, goose, chicken, and rabbit.
