Giovanna Maccario is the daughter of one of the pioneers of viticulture in Liguria. Starting her 21st vintage, Giovanna farms the steep vineyards by hand. Vines , some over 100 years old are trained in the alberello system at such an incline that mechanization is impossible. 2022 was a year plagued by extreme drought, forcing the winery to blend all their single vineyards into a blend.
