Prugnolo Gentile is the variant strain of Sangiovese in and around Montepulciano and is the majority of the blend for this Vino Nobile. As traditional and required by law, it must be at least 70% of the blend.
This wine is made excactly like the Rosso di Montepulciano but with an extra year of élevage to reach DOCG status.
