The De Marchi family is best known for another of their holdings, a Chianti Classico parcel called Isole & Olena. Starting in 1999, they turned to rejuvenating the Northern Piemonte property they inherited. The Spanna (Nebbiolo) vines have never seen chemical interventions and ancient techniques are used in production, like 21-day maceration and 18-months on the lees. The result is an aromatically enchanting Nebbiolo.
